Fuerza Chile!

So, I have decided to start blogging! I have been so inspired by so many things lately, and I figured, why not blog? I want to use this place to post ideas about art and travel mostly. Today my mind is in Chile.

Last week marked one year since I first stepped in to Chile. My mind had been thinking of the sweet smells, the breadshops, the ocean, my runs, the sweet language, my wonderful friends, my church there, and so much more. All my memories more powerfully swarmed my mind when I found out that the beautiful country experienced one of the most powerful earthquakes in decades early saturday morning.

Thankfully everyone I know is okay and doing well. The damage is worst in southern Chile, especially about 200 km south of where I lived. I ask for you to pray for the country of Chile and those affected. Pray for strong leadership, restoration, for looting to cease, for families to be reunited, and for aid to reach all areas of the country. Also, please pray for the church I attended while in Chile. The roof caved in and the building is more or less destoried. Pray for a place for them to meet and for God to direct them and send them out where help is needed.

Que Dios te Bendiga Chile!

  1. I'm really happy you've chosen to have a blog! I always am interested in reading what you've written.
I cannot believe there is more natural disaster devastation so close from Haiti's first day. Such a tragedy. I will be thinking and praying for Chile.
I have the poem you wrote for us the first Christmas time I spent with our group of friends. I think it's called Fellowship. It takes me back to our group the the fellowship we had together in Springfield.
I'm going to have to frame it someday soon!
    Love you!
