creating rest.

As I sit and paint, I can not help but be overcome with how thankful I am to serve the Creator.

I am thankful He made us creative people. My hands have been at work all day and my body is tired. It is sore and my mind is worn from sculpting, painting, etc. Yet I have peace as I let the color hit the paper. I am amazed to know that our God spoke this world into being. And then He rested.

May we not forget to rest. I have forgotten lately and know He seeks to carry my burdens and take my stresses. We all are creative. I truly believe that. It may not be with art supplies, or even instruments. We have creative thoughts, ideas of helping others, new ideas for business projects, even quick ideas of how to better someone's day. We create, we were designed in His image!

We are his beautiul creations. May we rest and know that He is the Creator.

" O Lord, how many are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all;
the earth is full of Your possessions."
Psalm 104:24

Fuerza Chile!

So, I have decided to start blogging! I have been so inspired by so many things lately, and I figured, why not blog? I want to use this place to post ideas about art and travel mostly. Today my mind is in Chile.

Last week marked one year since I first stepped in to Chile. My mind had been thinking of the sweet smells, the breadshops, the ocean, my runs, the sweet language, my wonderful friends, my church there, and so much more. All my memories more powerfully swarmed my mind when I found out that the beautiful country experienced one of the most powerful earthquakes in decades early saturday morning.

Thankfully everyone I know is okay and doing well. The damage is worst in southern Chile, especially about 200 km south of where I lived. I ask for you to pray for the country of Chile and those affected. Pray for strong leadership, restoration, for looting to cease, for families to be reunited, and for aid to reach all areas of the country. Also, please pray for the church I attended while in Chile. The roof caved in and the building is more or less destoried. Pray for a place for them to meet and for God to direct them and send them out where help is needed.

Que Dios te Bendiga Chile!
